I ordered the half-chicken special. For $5.99 you get a half chicken, baked with Mexican seasonings, beans, rice, tortillas and a drink. It was delicious. The pico de gallo looked and tasted homemade. I would go back just for that.
There is nothing fancy about the place. I thought it was just a single owner restaurant. But I was wrong, there are twenty or so Regio's in DFW area. I had never noticed them before.
There are only about six small tables indoors and a few outdoors, so they must do a big take out business. The chickens are all pre-cooked and held in a warmer.
If you try it, tell me what you think. For six bucks I don't know of a better deal in town.

CD -- I forgot to say that I took home a breast of chicken, a few tortillas and some rice and beans. I was full and couldn't finish it.
Half a chicken AND fixings AND drink for $5.99? Not a bad deal...
I've been known to stretch the truth a little Jake, but I really thought the food was good, too. Let me know what you think if you try it.
Went today. It was pretty good. The chicken itself is quite good, the barbacoa was very good, but the mole sauce was too chocolaty, though it wasn't overly coarse.
Just had lunch there after I saw your review the other day. I got the same medio pollo deal. It was delicious! I especially loved the jalapeno cream sauce.
Michael -- I saw the mole but I didn't want to take a chance on it. I love mole but am very picky about it. I just had the roasted half-chicken.
Jason -- I had so much of the pico de gallo I didn't try the cream sauce. Glad you liked it.
