Unfortunately . . .

To reverse a quote from Mike Reiner of sports radio, the Ticket -- "they can do what we can do, but we can't do what they can do."

They being the San Antonio Spurs and we being the Dallas Mavericks. What can they do: maintain team stability, play in the clutch, and play hardball basketball.

They won their first playoff game the hard way, like a tough team does. For the Mavericks, if you're hoping that things will turn around this year. Give it up. We're toast.

We got close to winning a title. Close. 2 seasons ago, Miami embarrassed us after being down 2-0. Last year, we continued the embarrassment in the first round of playoff losses.

I'm done. Call me a traitor. I'm pulling for the Spurs.

I watched that Spurs game.
Duncan's shot. Unblievable.

This is the first year since Larry retired that I can actually root for the Celtics with some measure of hope.

Screw the Spurs.

They are the biggest group of grown men that cry together I have ever seen. If you look at Duncan/Bowen/Ginabli/Popovich wrong, they run down the court, arms waving asking the refs where the foul was. Just a bunch of spoiled whiners looking for an excuse to bitch.

If the Mavs can't do it, go Celtics! What a great story, huge turn-around from last season, and a return to the historical dominance of one of the greatest franchises in all of sports.

And, they aren't whiners.

They do whine a lot.

I think I'll change again.

Go Celtics.
