Free Donuts. June 4.

National Donut Day?

Yep. According to their websites,  a free donut can be had today at Dunkin Donuts, Shipley's, and Krispy Kreme.

Let's have a vote. Krispy's, Shipley's, or Dunkin's?

I am Dunkin Donut guy, myself. And you?

(I believe Krispy is a no-purchase-required promotion, whereas Dunkin and Shipley require a purchase.)

I don't have a favorite, but I don't like Krispy Kremes. They're too eggy and soft. The have no body. It's just a sweet blob. Yucko.

Jenn --

Actually, I agree. I admit watching those glaze donuts come off the assembly line is impressive and tempting, but they are too sweet for me.

BTW -- I haven't eaten a donut in years but I loved the cinnamon/sugar cake donut and a pint of chocolate milk.

Me: Krispy Kreme, especially the chocolate iced cream filled.

The Wife: Dunkin' Donuts.

Waiting for National Croissant Day, myself, but I'm probably living in the wrong country for that. I'd rather have kolaches or bagels or almost anything else. Which reminds me that it has been a long time since I bought one of those delectable oversized cinnamon rolls from Kenner's Kolaches on S. Cooper (at California) in Arlington. They're only open until noon. Better hurry...
