Torta Wars: Melis vs Salsa Fuego.

I am a huge fan of the torta. I've said that before.

In the last week, I have visited both Melis and Salsa Fuego restaurants looking for a good one. I prefer Salsa Fuego.

But I am still searching for the smaller, steak-roll version of the torta sandwich. If you see one please let me know. Until then, the torta war champion is: Salsa Fuego's pork carnitas torta.

Opinions welcome . . .

My question is: what happened to San Antonio Taqueria? It looked like they were renovating, and then this pops up instead. Which sucks mightily - SAT had the best Green Pork & Red Pork in the city, if not this part of the state.

As for the question? Salsa Fuego, no question. My fave used to be Esperanza's, but this trumps it big-time.

You know I love Melis. And I will try Salsa Fuego and let you know what I think.

Nemajo: I'll try it thanks.

M. Bourgon: Don't know about the SA Taqueria. Only heard how good it is.

Lynn: Thanks, I think you'll like it.
