America's Got Talent?

Think you could create a successful TV show with this?
1. Bad to average guest performances.
2. David Hasselhoff for a judge.
3. $1,000,000 prize.

Even with a million bucks, I would have said, absolutely not.

But I have to admit, NBC did and I like it. The show mixes the good with the bad in order to keep your interest, edits everything (I think too much) , and does one thing very well -- they mix in personal stories of a few exceptionally tenacious guests that are genuine and heart-warming without being overly sappy.

The bad performances are funny. Some of the performances are good, no one is great, but some could be commercially successful.

Speaking of which, judging by the number of commercials (a lot) this show is hugely successful.

After watching two Tuesday night shows, I'm not sure America's got talent, but I am sure America's got some crazy folks out there.

It's the Gong Show without the gong, mostly.

I watched some last year and it can be entertaining.

Good point. How about The Gong Show meets American Idol. Yea, I like that.
